HI, I'M JO:
Health coach, mentor, and NHS physiotherapist of 35 years
I help midlifers read their body's next chapter, so small, doable changes can bring their energy, their va voom, and likely some weight loss back, for good this time.
A little about me...
I know midlife from the inside. A busy life with four neurodiverse kids, a demanding career, and an old habit of pushing myself harder than I probably should have; running, cycling, Hyrox.
Midlife hit me hard. I burned out. I had to stop, rebuild, and relearn how I ate, slept, moved, and managed stress. Small, consistent changes, not a return to how things were before. It worked, and it taught me new ways that led me to Health Coaching.
After 35 years as an NHS physiotherapist, I'd already noticed something: conditions rarely come down to the structures alone. Our lifestyle, food, drink, sleep, stress, movement, habits can compound to impact our health, often quietly, long before any health condition shows up as an issue.
We're all different, we all have unique needs, and we all deserve to feel a bit better, at whatever pace and in whatever way works for you.
That realisation led me to train as a Health Coach with the Health Coaching Academy. So now I’m part mentor, part educator, part accountability friend. I’m here to walk alongside you rather than hand you a plan and step away. My mother has severe osteoporosis and probable early dementia. It's a big part of why I do this work, and why I believe midlife is the window that matters most. The choices we make now shape how independently we live in our 70s and 80s, and I want that for you as much as I want it for myself.

A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT ME...
I LOVE Glastonbury Festival
My 18-year-old daughter wanted to do the London Hyrox with me. What a joy.
It's almost impossible to take a photo of me with my eyes open!!
I'm here to look at the whole picture, honestly and without judgement:
The evening chocolate, the "I have no time or energy" feeling, the no-time-to-exercise downward spiral. Change happens through tiny steps you actually choose, not a rigid plan, and accountability that feels supportive, never pressuring. Everything I offer is evidence-based, jargon-free, and built around you, because you deserve to feel great. Now and in later life.
